St. Peter had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 3-3 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the Belle Plaine Tigers 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Saints have posted since April 25, 2024.

As for Belle Plaine, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5. Surprisingly, this marked their fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

For Belle Plaine's part, Logan Hoen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on three hits.

At the plate, Belle Plaine saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Waylon Friendshuh, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that Friendshuh has snagged this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Peter will head out to face off against New Ulm at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Belle Plaine, they will venture away from home to take on Worthington at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
