Basketball Recap: Yeshiva Takes a Loss

Yeshiva played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 70-50 to Calverton. Yeshiva was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Calverton apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Calverton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Justus Washington out in front who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 13 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Nash, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten boards.

Yeshiva's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Calverton, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-1.

Yeshiva will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Barrie at 6:30 p.m. on December 17th. As for Calverton, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 45-29 loss against School Without Walls on the 6th.
