The Woodland Wolves will head out to take on the Bradshaw Christian Pride at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Woodland took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Winters as Woodland made off with a 12-1 victory. The Wolves' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Addy Tetreault made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3.
In other batting news, Woodland let Presley Penegar and Izzy Loesch run wild. Penegar went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Loesch scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Sofia Sanchez also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Woodland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Bradshaw Christian had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 13-12 win over Nevada Union on Tuesday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Pride's hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Lexi Ortiz was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
Ortiz wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kaylee Hand, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave Hand a new career-high in RBI (three). Another was Ava Clarida, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
Woodland's record is now 2-4. As for Bradshaw Christian, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
