Softball Recap: Sweet Springs Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

Sweet Springs never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Santa Fe Chiefs with a sharp 10-0 victory. Considering the Greyhounds have won six matches by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Sweet Springs' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Santa Fe, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Looking ahead, Sweet Springs is taking a road trip to square off against Kingsville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.45 runs per game on average), something the Greyhounds will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Santa Fe, they will host Midway at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
