Basketball Recap: Maryvale's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

It was a good run, but Maryvale unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They received a blow as they fell 67-49 to the Queen Creek Bulldogs.

When it comes to explaining why Maryvale lost, don't look at Adrian Stubbs. Despite the final result, he went 9 for 21 on his way to 20 points and five steals. Stubbs' evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Devin Murphy was another key player, going 6 of 13 on his way to 12 points and eight rebounds.

Maryvale's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Queen Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.

Maryvale wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 67-62 defeat against Cesar Chavez on the 10th. As for Queen Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-55 loss against Red Mountain on the 8th.
