Basketball Game Preview: Muscle Shoals Trojans vs. Hartselle Tigers

Muscle Shoals hasn't had much luck against Hartselle recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Muscle Shoals Trojans will venture away from home to challenge the Hartselle Tigers at 5:30 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Muscle Shoals came up short against Arab and fell 59-46.

Meanwhile, Hartselle entered their tilt with Austin on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 45-35 win over the Black Bears. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Black Bears are ranked 169th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Muscle Shoals' loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Hartselle, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season.

Muscle Shoals came up short against Hartselle in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 56-44. Can Muscle Shoals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
