Basketball Recap: Valdez Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Valdez and Mt. Edgecumbe squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Valdez had to settle for second. They took a 48-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Braves. The Buccaneers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Braves earlier this season, when they won 48-43.

Valdez's defeat dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Mt. Edgecumbe, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Valdez nor Mt. Edgecumbe have any future games scheduled.
