Softball Game Preview: Hollister Tigers vs. Blue Eye Bulldogs

The Hollister Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Blue Eye Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hollister has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 21.

Hollister fell victim to Springfield Catholic and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 16-0 to the Fighting Irish. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Blue Eye came up short against Billings on Monday, falling 17-5. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Angelina Bettlach was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season.

Hollister's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Blue Eye, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Hollister might still be hurting after the 14-4 loss they got from Blue Eye in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
