Basketball Game Preview: Lindbergh Eagles vs. Interlake Saints

Lindbergh is 0-3 against Interlake since January of 2023 but things could change on Friday. The Lindbergh Eagles will head out to take on the Interlake Saints at 6:30 p.m.

Last Wednesday, Lindbergh took a blow against Liberty, falling 59-7. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Interlake came tearing into Wednesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by the Titans to the tune of 62-15. The Saints have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Interlake's win came from a few key players Lindbergh will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Eliana - Gatoni Keza, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Harper Moore, who posted 16 points in addition to five assists and four steals.

Interlake was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Interlake's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.8 points per game. As for Lindbergh, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.

Lindbergh might still be hurting after the 39-19 loss they got from Interlake in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Lindbergh avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
