Football Recap: Red Mountain Starts Season with Victory on the Road + How To Watch

Red Mountain had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Tucson High Magnet School Badgers 53-0 on Tuesday.

Red Mountain's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Korey Roberts, who threw for 172 yards and three TDs while completing 75% of her passes, and also rushed for 34 yards and one touchdown. Cadence McCanless was another key pass catcher, picking up 133 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Red Mountain didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Haleigh Jones and Audrey Pacheco.

Red Mountain wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 35-0 victory against Casteel on the 18th. As for Tucson High Magnet School, they will challenge Nogales at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
