Basketball Recap: Rim of the World Comes Up Short

Rim of the World was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 69-19 defeat at the hands of the Palm Desert Aztecs. The contest marked the Fighting Scots' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Leading Palm Desert to victory were Jecorey Jones and Wil Wilson. Jones went 6 of 7 on his way to 16 points along with eight steals and six boards, while Wilson went 7 of 17 en route to 21 points. The game was Wilson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of David Wilcox, who posted seven points and five rebounds.

Rim of the World's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Palm Desert, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-4.

Rim of the World didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-27 defeat against San Gorgonio on the 16th. As for Palm Desert, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 66-41 victory against Redlands on the 17th.
