Cairo skates past Shawnee with ease

Recap: Cairo Pilots vs. Shawnee Redskins
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Cairo Pilots walked away with it. They blew past the Redskins, posting a 78-30 victory at home. The victory was just what Cairo needed coming off of a 55-21 loss in their prior game.
Despite the defeat, Shawnee saw an underclassman step up: Emma Young scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Young has scored all season.
Cairo's win bumped their record up to 10-18. As for Shawnee, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.
Cairo will face off against Century at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Century focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Thursday. Shawnee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
