Baseball Recap: Harlan Comes Up Short

Harlan and Brandeis squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Harlan had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Broncos by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that the Hawks have lost by just one run.

Harlan is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-15. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Brandeis, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6-1 record this season.

While Harlan had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
