Baseball Game Preview: Macon Tigers vs. Westran Hornets

The Macon Tigers will take on the Westran Hornets at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Macon is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Chillicothe just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 5-4.

Grant Meisner was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits.

On the hitting side, Macon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Derek Weydert, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Westran didn't have quite enough to beat Brunswick on Friday and fell 3-2. The game marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Westran fell to 5-1. As for Macon, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
