Soccer Game Preview: Innovation Montessori vs. Ridgeview Global Studies Academy

The Innovation Montessori Panthers and the Ridgeview Global Studies Academy Explorers will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Innovation Montessori turned things around against Central Florida Christian Academy on Monday. Neither they nor the Eagles could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw. The result was nothing new for the Panthers as the team has yet to pick up a win this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ridgeview Global Studies Academy). Their defense stepped up to hand Mater Brighton Lakes Academy an 8-0 shutout on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Explorers considering their one-goal performance the match before.

With that draw, Innovation Montessori's record moves to 0-4-1. As for Ridgeview Global Studies Academy, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-6-1 record.
