Football Recap: DePaul Catholic Gets the Win

DePaul Catholic's game two weeks ago was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 31-21 win over the St. Peter's Prep Marauders. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Marauders recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Marquan Carter produced another solid performance rushing for 158 yards and one score. Those 158 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. AJ Larkin got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.

DePaul Catholic's record now sits at 5-2. As for St. Peter's Prep, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. DePaul Catholic will take on Delbarton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for St. Peter's Prep, they will head out to square off against Pope John XXIII at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. St. Peter's Prep is facing Pope John XXIII at the right time seeing as Pope John XXIII is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
