Volleyball Game Preview: East Forsyth Eagles vs. Reagan Raiders

East Forsyth hasn't had much luck against Reagan recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Eagles will head out to face off against the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. Reagan took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on East Forsyth, who comes in off a win.

East Forsyth is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They skirted past Lake Norman 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since September 18th.

East Forsyth took Lake Norman into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-13, 25-23, 24-26, 15-10.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Reagan and East Forsyth meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Raiders came up short against the Eagles, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-21, 25-16.

Despite the loss, Reagan saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brielynd Riddle had 17 digs and three assists.

Reagan's defeat dropped their record down to 24-9. As for East Forsyth, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season.

Everything went East Forsyth's way against Reagan in their previous meeting on Tuesday, as East Forsyth made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
