Preview: Suitland Rams vs. Bladensburg Mustangs
Suitland is 1-9 against Bladensburg since February of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Suitland Rams will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bladensburg Mustangs at 12:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Suitland is ranked 183rd, while Bladensburg is ranked 180th).
Last Tuesday, Suitland ended up a good deal behind DuVal and lost 62-48. Suitland has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Bladensburg didn't have too much breathing room in their game against High Point on Monday, but they still walked away with a 50-45 victory. The win was just what Bladensburg needed coming off of a 70-40 defeat in their prior match.
Suitland's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Bladensburg, they pushed their record up to 5-7 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Suitland and Bladensburg were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, but Suitland came up empty-handed after a 63-62 defeat. Can Suitland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
