Softball Game Preview: North Surry Greyhounds vs. Forbush Falcons

North Surry hasn't had much luck against Forbush recently, but that could start to change on Monday. North Surry will look to defend their home field against Forbush at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

North Surry's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Wilkes Central as North Surry made off with a 12-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Greyhounds as they're now sitting on five straight.

The home team had come away the winner the last six times Forbush and Starmount had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Forbush was the clear victor by an 11-0 margin over Starmount on Thursday. The game was the first time the Falcons have beaten the Rams on their field since March 7, 2019.

Forbush's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for North Surry, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
