Basketball Game Preview: Manual Rams vs. Champaign Central Maroons

The Manual Rams will head out to face off against the Champaign Central Maroons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Manual is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Manual is headed into the game having just suffered their closest loss since December 28, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Normal Community by a score of 63-61.

Meanwhile, Champaign Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 64-51 to MacArthur.

Champaign Central's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Manual, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 13-8.

Manual took their win against Champaign Central in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 61-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Manual since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
