Soccer Recap: Galway Comes Up Short

Galway lost against Northville back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Golden Eagles lost 4-1 to the Falcons. While losing is never fun, Galway can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 370th, while Northville are ranked 78th).

Galway's goal came courtesy of Jameson Wagner, who's now up to eight this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Galway and nudges their season record down to 3-9-1. As for Northville, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Galway is set to face off against their familiar foe Mayfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Northville will challenge rival Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
