Basketball Game Preview: Lake Worth Bullfrogs vs. Krum Bobcats

Lake Worth is 0-10 against Krum since November of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Lake Worth Bullfrogs will square off against the Krum Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Lake Worth is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Friday. They had to suffer through a 92-60 loss at the hands of Burkburnett. While losing is never fun, the Bullfrogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 890th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 125th).

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was De?Jay Black, who went 5 of 6 en route to 15 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Anthony Green, who went 6 for 8 on his way to 13 points and six boards.

Meanwhile, Krum unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Decatur by a score of 73-70. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (65), the Bobcats still had to take the loss.

Krum's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 17-9. As for Lake Worth, their loss dropped their record down to 10-15.

Lake Worth opened the new year with a less-than-successful 65-52 defeat to Krum. Can Lake Worth avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
