Baseball Recap: Tamalpais Comes Up Short

Tamalpais has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.41 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They came up short against the Novato Hornets, falling 13-5. Surprisingly, this marked the Red Tailed Hawks' seventh straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Cooper Kift made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Tito Fierstein was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Tamalpais' loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Novato, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Tamalpais beat the Hornets by a score of 4-2 on Thursday.
