Basketball Game Preview: La Salette Academy Lions vs. Arthur-Okaw Christian Conquering Riders

The La Salette Academy Lions will head out to challenge the Arthur-Okaw Christian Conquering Riders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, La Salette Academy came up short against Hoopeston and fell 53-42. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Cornjerkers: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Arthur-Okaw Christian fought the good fight in their overtime game against Kankakee Trinity Academy on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 74-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kankakee Trinity Academy.

La Salette Academy will have to keep a close watch on Kedrick Chupp and Cody Kuhns, a pair of players who had a big impact on Arthur-Okaw Christian's prior game. Chupp posted 18 points and four steals, while Kuhns had 18 points and six rebounds. Chupp also put up a block, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Wade Julius, who scored 14 points and five boards.

Arthur-Okaw Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for La Salette Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

La Salette Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Arthur-Okaw Christian in their previous meeting back in February, but they still walked away with a 55-49 victory.
