Baseball Recap: St. Bernard Vikings vs. Wiseburn- Da Vinci Wolves

While it was St. Bernard who put the first points on the board on Thursday, it was Wiseburn- Da Vinci who put up more. The St. Bernard Vikings fell just short of the Wiseburn- Da Vinci Wolves by a score of 10-9.

Chase Williams stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he scored two runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Miguel Bravo, who scored a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

On Wiseburn- Da Vinci's side, Thomas Carpenter made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Carpenter has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive pitching appearances.
