Kinston put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They managed a 60-54 victory over the Brantley Bulldogs. For Kinston, this counts as revenge for the 45-34 win Brantley walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Brantley lost, don't look at CoCo Stamps. Despite the final result, she went 8 for 15 on her way to 20 points in addition to six boards and six steals. Stamps is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 32 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Grimes, who went 7 of 12 on her way to 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Kinston's victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-0. As for Brantley, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-8.

When Kinston and Brantley next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Kinston will try to stop Pleasant Home's three-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Kinston's defense has only allowed 22.4 points per game this season, so Brantley's offense will have their work cut out for them. Meanwhile, Brantley will take on Elba and their three-game winning streak at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
