Platte County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Van Horn Falcons a 10-0 shutout. The Pirates have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Falcons, too.

Platte County's win bumped their record up to 25-6. As for Van Horn, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-17 record this season.

As of now, neither Platte County nor Van Horn have any future games scheduled.
