Basketball Recap: Gueryn Kay Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Lincoln East

Omaha Westside lost to Lincoln East back in February of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Omaha Westside Warriors put the hurt on the Lincoln East Spartans with a sharp 58-33 victory. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-12.

Omaha Westside's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gueryn Kay, who posted 11 points. Kimora Jenkins was another key player, putting up eight points.

The victory made it two in a row for Omaha Westside and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Lincoln East, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Omaha Westside will venture away from home to square off against Millard West at 5:30 p.m. on December 19th. As for Lincoln East, they and Bellevue West will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
