Alliance Christian extends road losing streak to three

Recap: Alliance Christian Gryphons vs. Mount Calvary Christian Chargers

This season hasn't been kind to the Alliance Christian Gryphons, who are still winless after their fifth match. They were the victim of a rough 76-56 defeat at the hands of Mount Calvary Christian on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Leading Mount Calvary Christian to victory were Josiah Masters and Avery Kopcha. Masters scored 16 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Kopcha scored 29 points along with five assists. The game was Kopcha's 12th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Robinson, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds.

Alliance Christian bumped their record down to 0-5 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Mount Calvary Christian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-6.

Alliance Christian will be playing at home against Renaissance Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount Calvary Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against West Shore Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th. West Shore Christian Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
