With a playoff win on the line, Hale County rose to the challenge on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Greensboro Raiders a 15-0 shutout. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Hale County has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Greensboro, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hale County beat the Raiders by a score of 20-0 on Saturday.
