League recap: Coronado extends winning streak with victory over Silver Creek

3A South Central recap December 3, 2013

Coronado extended the longest winning streak in 3A South Central this week by beating Silver Creek, 28-24. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.

Coronado and the Raptors played the most contested game in the league this week, with Coronado eventually emerging with a 28-24 victory. Isaah Duvall ran for 185 yards in the win.

Coronado's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Cougars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Joah Smith has thrown for 1,383 yards and 9 touchdowns this season, while Sam Smith has 33 catches for 537 yards.

Bobby Lizarraga's team led the league in scoring this week by notching 28 points on Silver Creek. Duvall ran for 185 yards during the win.
