Recap: Waggener Wildcats vs. Seneca Red Hawks
After soaring to 59 points the game before, the Waggener Wildcats were a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were outmatched by Seneca on the road and fell 52-25. Waggener has struggled against Seneca recently, as their match on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Seneca's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Arionna Tunstall led the charge by dropping a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. Tunstall has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Justice Parks, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Waggener's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Seneca, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Fern Creek the next time they take the court. Seneca will head out to face Fern Creek at TBD on Saturday, while Waggener will head out to face them at TBD on Friday.
