Basketball Recap: Estill County Victorious

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Estill County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 60-57 victory over the Magoffin County Hornets. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Engineers have posted since December 17, 2024.

The victory got Estill County back to even at 9-9. As for Magoffin County, they dropped their record down to 5-9 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Estill County and Leslie County will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Magoffin County has already played their next game (against Martin County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
