Football Recap: Clinton Takes a Loss

Clinton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Tri-Valley Vikings, falling 56-6. While losing is never fun, the Maroons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 469th, while the Vikings are ranked 171st).

Josh Bass threw for 57 yards on eight of 18 attempts. On the ground, Marshawn Fitch rushed for 71 yards.

Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Tri-Valley, their win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2.
