Recap: Summers County Bobcats vs. Wahama White Falcons
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Summers County Bobcats can now relate to. They were dealt a 65-14 defeat at the hands of Wahama on Friday. Summers County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Summers County still got an impressive performance from Tyson Adkins, who rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 38 receiving yards.
Wahama's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dillan Fields, who rushed for 190 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Connor Lambert was another key contributor, rushing for 147 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries.
Summers County's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Wahama, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-1.
Summers County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wahama will head out on the road to face off against Greenbrier West at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Greenbrier West is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
