Football Recap: Camden Fairview Victorious

Camden Fairview won the last time they faced Pine Bluff and things went their way on Friday too. The Cardinals snuck past the Zebras with a 26-22 win.

Dayton Browning had a dynamite game, rushing for 109 yards and two scores on only 13 carries, while also picking up 51 receiving yards and one TD. Another player making a difference was Brodie Dow, who threw for 126 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Camden Fairview's defense and their four sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Dakylan Hunter, Eric Seguin, and Teddy Thompson, who each picked up one sack apiece. Hunter was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, making nine total tackles (3.0 for loss), and defending two passes.

Camden Fairview's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Pine Bluff, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Camden Fairview and Pine Bluff will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Cardinals see the field they'll take on Lakeside at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Pine Bluff, their break will end when they face Jacksonville at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th.
