Basketball Recap: Gotti Mack Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Lake Creek

La Porte proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 47) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Lake Creek Lions 65-63. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since December 28, 2024.

La Porte's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gotti Mack, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Mack has also also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season. Fletcher Neely was another key player, going 7-for-10 from beyond the arc to rack up 21 points.

La Porte's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Lake Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

La Porte wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 54-44 loss against Clear Brook on the 21st. As for Lake Creek, they have also already played their next game, a 54-45 victory against Pasadena Memorial on the 21st.
