Rivendell Academy was handed a three-point loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Woodstock on Friday. Rivendell Academy put the hurt on Woodstock with a sharp 48-25 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Rivendell Academy has posted yet this season.
Rivendell Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lily Murray out in front who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Shaylee Carter was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Bellows Falls can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. Everything went their way against Green Mountain as Bellows Falls made off with a 43-22 victory.
Rivendell Academy's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-6. As for Bellows Falls, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Rivendell Academy was dealt a bruising 50-21 loss at the hands of Bellows Falls in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can Rivendell Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
