Basketball Game Preview: Legend Titans vs. Cherokee Trail Cougars + How To Watch

Having just played yesterday, the Legend Titans will get right back to it and host the Cherokee Trail Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Legend managed to keep up with Ralston Valley until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Titans were beaten by the Mustangs 80-50. The loss put an end to the Titans' undefeated start to the season.

Meanwhile, Cherokee Trail made easy work of Longmont on Saturday and carried off a 65-39 victory. That 26 point margin sets a new team best for the Cougars this season.

Legend better keep an eye on Jordan Mitchell. He was instrumental in Cherokee Trail's win, dropping a double-double with 16 points and ten rebounds. Mitchell continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Jensen, who went 6-for-14 en route to 12 points and five assists.

Cherokee Trail smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Legend fell to 2-1. As for Cherokee Trail, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Legend didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Cherokee Trail in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 61-57 victory. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
