Basketball Recap: William Penn Beats Exeter Township for Their Fourth Straight Win

William Penn lost to Exeter Township back in January of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The William Penn Bearcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 68-66 win over the Exeter Township Eagles. The victory was nothing new for the Bearcats as they're now sitting on four straight.

Leading William Penn to victory were Yoziah Romero and David Warde. Romero posted 17 points, while Warde put up 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jalen Swope, who had seven points.

William Penn pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Exeter Township, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

William Penn didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 93-80 loss against Central York on the 15th. Exeter Township has also already played their next contest (against Governor Mifflin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
