Aberdeen took a five-goal loss the last time they faced off against Black Hills, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Aberdeen sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Black Hills on Thursday. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Aberdeen's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Black Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3-2.

Coming up, Aberdeen will challenge Prairie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Aberdeen will be up against Prairie's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.17 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Black Hills, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tumwater at 7:00 p.m. on April 8.
