Volleyball Recap: Skyline Falcons vs. Conifer Lobos
Skyline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Conifer Lobos. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lobos apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.
Gabriela Medina-Valdez paced Skyline's offense, picking up 14 kills. Medina-Valdez got some help from Lizeth Medina-Valdez and her 14 assists. Marisol Sanchez controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.
Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Conifer, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
Coincidentally, Skyline and Conifer will both be playing Summit the next time they take the court. The Lobos will head out to face the Tigers at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Falcons will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
