Preview: Columbian Tornadoes vs. Ashland Arrows
The Columbian Tornadoes will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Ashland Arrows at 7:00 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
After a string of five wins, Columbian's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 55-28 loss at the hands of Perkins. While losing is never fun, Columbian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 50th, while Perkins is ranked ninth).
Meanwhile, Ashland came up short against Lexington on Friday and fell 24-14.
Columbian's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Ashland, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
Columbian took their victory against Ashland in their previous meeting back in September of 2019 by a conclusive 31-7. Will Columbian repeat their success, or does Ashland have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
