The home team had won the previous five meetings between Balboa and Lowell, and Lowell kept the tradition alive. The Buccaneers came up short against the Cardinals on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Buccaneers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Balboa has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Lowell, they pushed their record up to 14-7 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

While Balboa had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
