Baseball Game Preview: St. Joseph Bears vs. Gull Lake Blue Devils

The St. Joseph Bears will take on the Gull Lake Blue Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

St. Joseph fell victim to Vicksburg and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Bears' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

St. Joseph saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ruben Holleman, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Holleman's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Gull Lake narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Norrix 3-1.

Gull Lake's victory bumped their record up to 21-7. As for St. Joseph, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13-1.
