Softball Recap: Bothell Takes a Loss

If Bothell was feeling good fresh off their 9-3 takedown of Juanita on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars fell just short of the Inglemoor Vikings by a score of 4-2 on Friday. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Addison Hall was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits.

At the plate, Kolbi Schmer was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Bothell's loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Inglemoor, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Bothell didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-9 win against Lake Washington on the 29th. As for Inglemoor, they have also already played their next game, a 6-0 victory against Eastlake on the 27th.
