Volleyball Game Preview: Anthony Wayne Generals vs. Gilmour Academy Lancers

The Anthony Wayne Generals are taking a road trip to face off against the Gilmour Academy Lancers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Anthony Wayne will be looking to extend their current 14-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Anthony Wayne made easy work of Southview and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Anthony Wayne took every set by at least 14 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-7, 25-8.

Meanwhile, Gilmour Academy suffered their biggest loss since August 30th on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to Magnificat. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Lancers haven't been shut out since back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-21, 25-13.

Anthony Wayne's win bumped their record up to 18-1. As for Gilmour Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

Anthony Wayne beat Gilmour Academy 2-0 in their previous meeting back in August. Will the Generals repeat their success, or do the Lancers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
