Catawba Ridge has gone a perfect 9-0 against Northwestern recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Copperheads are taking a road trip to challenge the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Catawba Ridge is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Fort Mill just ended the team's nine-game winning streak on Friday. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Yellow Jackets who were credited with the win. Fort Mill got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Catawba Ridge's three. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Catawba Ridge came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked eighth, while Fort Mill are ranked 61st).

Northwestern is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Friday. They came up short against Nation Ford, falling 5-0.

Northwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Catawba Ridge, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 10-3.

Catawba Ridge took their victory against Northwestern when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 4-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Copperheads since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
