Baseball Recap: Southern Nash Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Southern Nash and South Brunswick squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Southern Nash had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Firebirds have suffered since March 11th.

Southern Nash saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kwamaine Battle, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

Southern Nash's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-13. As for South Brunswick, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-15.

Southern Nash does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Brunswick, they will challenge J.H. Rose on Tuesday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rampants have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season.
