Softball Recap: Vista del Lago Comes Up Short

Vista del Lago was the 3-2 winner over Woodcreek when they last played one another back in April of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Vista del Lago Eagles fell 5-2 to the Woodcreek Timberwolves on Wednesday.

Vista del Lago saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Harper Nikol, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Nikol also put up a double, which was her first of the season.

Vista del Lago's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Woodcreek, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vista del Lago will face off against Elk Grove at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Woodcreek, they will welcome Christian Brothers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Christian Brothers has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.78 runs per game on average), something Woodcreek will no doubt try to take advantage of.
